Southfield, Michigan — Samsung Semiconductors has opened a new engineering and sales office in a Class A high rise in Troy. The new office location marks a significant expansion for Samsung’s semiconductor subsidiary in Michigan; it is expected to house over 50 employees, many of whom will be new hires.
The opening of the office marks the conclusion of a nearly 12-month process led by Vogel Advisors, who worked on the project in conjunction with San Diego-based Hughes Marino. Vogel Advisors toured over 15 options throughout Oakland County with Samsung’s local leadership, after which a lengthy RFP process ensued with the finalist buildings. As a final step, Samsung’s executive leadership flew to Detroit to tour the top two options and make a final decision on the best location for the business unit.
